Kibuli Home
Cameras for Children's stompin' ground
This is the home that I work in teaching photography to children. Most of the boys at Kibuli were taken off the street and are in a rehabilitation process at the home. I work with 5 or 6 kids right now. After juggling a group of around 20 boys at multiple homes, I thought it best that I narrow the program to give a few kids who show potential some intensive instruction.
Here’s how it works:
I visit about every 2 days or so. Each time I collect about 2-3 rolls of film from each boy that im working with. I then sit down and do individual critiques of the photos I developed from my last visit. I tell each boy what I like and what I don’t, and what he can do to get better. At the end, I give everyone more film, and give them a bit of encouragement.
I’ll post pictures from this time as soon as they are developed.
